SKV Obtained a Complete Victory for Their Client in an ICDR Arbitration

Craig Smyser and Justin Waggoner obtained a complete victory for their client in an ICDR arbitration. Smyser and Waggoner, along with SKV associate Razvan Ungureanu, represented a leading energy company engaged in Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) – related businesses against one of the world’s largest integrated energy companies. The dispute involved technical issues in a multibillion dollar contract related to LNG terminalling services and centered on accounting for payment of certain LNG cargos acquired to keep the LNG at contractually-required temperatures. In its Final Award, the panel resolved all issues in favor of SKV’s client, awarding its full attorney’s fees and expenses. The three-arbitrator panel, including a party arbitrator selected by the opposing party, ruled unanimously in favor of SKV’s client.
