SKV is proud to announce the addition of the newest Partner, Crystal Robles, effective January 1, 2020. Crystal joined SKV as an Associate in 2015 and focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation disputes, with recent experience in the healthcare, oil and gas, and financial services industries. Crystal also has experience in managing various aspects of complex multi-district litigation.
Crystal has achieved victory for her clients in state and federal court, securing dismissals, summary judgments, and negotiating favorable resolutions for both defendants and plaintiffs alike. Crystal appreciates the importance of securing favorable rulings early in a matter. She aggressively pursues and obtains dismissal of claims that give her clients a strategic advantage—or end litigation entirely.
“The partnership is thrilled to name Crystal as a partner”, said SKV Partner Larry Veselka. “Crystal has proven herself time and time again through her dedication to SKV’s clients, their interests, and solving their problems. That attention to our clients’ interests is the hallmark of an SKV partner.”
Crystal received her B.A., magna cum laude, from New York University in 2009 and her J.D. from Yale Law School in 2012. While in law school, Ms. Robles did extensive clinical work in the Worker & Immigrant Rights Advocacy and Immigrant Legal Services Clinics, contributing to significant victories for civil rights plaintiffs in federal court, for clients in immigration proceedings, and for asylees seeking family reunification.
After law school, she practiced in the Houston office of Vinson & Elkins LLP. She clerked for the Honorable Joseph A. Greenaway, Jr. on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit in 2014-2015. Crystal joined SKV in 2015.
