SKV Announces our Newest Partner

 

Karima G. Maloney joined SKV as a partner on January 18, 2016.  Karima, a longtime federal prosecutor, most recently served as Deputy Chief of the United States Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division, Criminal Section from 2010-2015.  Prior to that, as trial attorney for the Department of Justice, she handled hundreds of investigations and prosecutions of federal civil rights crimes across the country.  Karima’s trial work is nationally recognized.  She is the recipient of the Women in Federal Law Enforcement’s Top Prosecutor Award (2012) and the Attorney General’s John Marshall Award for Outstanding Trial Litigation (2005).  Karima served as law clerk to the Honorable Vanessa D. Gilmore, United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas (2001-2003).

Karima attended Washington University in St. Louis, where she obtained her B.S. in Business Administration and graduated with Honors in Management.  She obtained her J.D. in 2001 from Columbia University School of Law, where she was Senior Editor of the Columbia Law Review and Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar.
