Smyser Kaplan & Veselka (“SKV”) announced today that Sarah Cooper and Kelley Keller have joined the firm as Counsel.
Sarah Cooper has practiced at Baker Botts, Vinson & Elkins, and Cravath Swaine & Moore. Her practice has included a wide range of civil, corporate, and criminal or investigative matters. As a civil trial lawyer, she has worked on antitrust, securities fraud, defamation, privacy, and hostile takeover matters, as well as numerous internal investigations. These have included internal corporate and whistleblower investigations on behalf of independent and special committees of boards of directors, and representing corporate and individual clients in government investigations for securities fraud, price fixing, and public corruption. Cooper received her J.D. from Stanford Law School.

Kelley Keller, a native Houstonian, has handled high-stakes litigation for 30 years. Keller has enjoyed a varied civil litigation practice, representing clients involved in matters ranging from products liability defense to commercial disputes to securities and intellectual property litigation. An experienced trial lawyer, she has tried cases to verdict in both state and federal courts. Before joining SKV, Ms. Keller practiced at Skadden Arps and Vinson & Elkins. Keller received her J.D. from The University of Houston Law Center.
