Smyser Kaplan & Veselka(“SKV”) is pleased to announce that John Kinchen has joined the firm as a partner, effective June 1, 2022.
John will join the firm’s esteemed white collar defense and government investigations practice.

John’s practice includes both high-stakes white-collar criminal matters and complex commercial litigation cases. He sharpened his trial skills as a federal prosecutor in the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of Texas, where he successfully prosecuted white collar crime and public corruption.
Before joining the firm, Kinchen was a partner at Hughes Arrell Kinchen in Houston. John attended Louisiana State University and the University of Texas School of Law. He is licensed to practice in all federal and state forums in Texas.
