SKV is thrilled to announce the newest addition to its growing litigation team, Johnathan A. Mondel.
John Mondel focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation disputes in both federal and state court. Recently, John has drafted dispositive motions and appellate briefs filed in district courts, intermediate appellate courts, and the United States Supreme Court.
John received his B.A., summa cum laude, from the College of William & Mary in 2013 and his J.D. from Stanford Law School in 2016. While in law school, John served on the Executive Board of the Stanford Law Review and served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Stanford Law & Policy Review. John was awarded the Gerald Gunther Prize for Outstanding Performance in both Legal Research and Writing and White Collar Crime. John also did significant clinical work in the Religious Liberty Clinic, where he helped clients secure their rights in both administrative proceedings and in court.
After law school, he clerked for the Honorable Robert B. Kugler on the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey in 2016-2017 and for the Honorable Edith H. Jones on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit in 2017-2018. He practiced in Sullivan & Cromwell, LLP's Washington D.C. office before joining SKV in 2020.
